Saturn's moon Titan has clouds, rain, rivers, lakes and seas, NASA says. But its lakes and seas hold liquid methane and ethane instead of water.
ILLUSTRATION · AITitan, Saturn's largest moon, has clouds, rain, rivers, lakes and seas, and its lakes and seas are made of liquid methane and ethane, NASA says.
Titan is the only moon in our solar system known to have a substantial atmosphere. It has an Earth-like cycle of liquids flowing across its surface: clouds, rain, rivers, lakes and seas.
The difference is what the liquid is. Titan's lakes and seas are made of hydrocarbons such as methane and ethane.
